The Four Guardians of Korea

Taekwon-do originates in Korea, and is a Korean Martial Art. The art itself has a truly interesting history. 
Many books are written regarding the history, and many online articles offer an in-depth look into the history of the Art.

Guardian Taekwon-Do found its name in the Legend of the Four Guardians:

Ancient legends speak of four guardians who protect Korea and its people.
Each guardian has been bestowed special powers to watch over their region:

White Tiger: ruler of the West, and Guardian of Winds. Wind Leader
Blue Dragon: Ruler of the East, and Guardian of Clouds. Cloud Master
Red Phoenix: Ruler of the South, and Guardian of Fire. Fire Control
